Febuary Book

Hey All!

We have a new book. Ilene has chosen:

The Wednesday Letters
by Jason F. Wright


She says there should be 12 copies at the West Jordan Library by Thursday or Friday. We are switching it up starting in February and meeting the first Tuesday of the month so we will meet:

February 1 7:30 pm at my house again, unless I find out otherwise.

I really enjoy the time spent visiting and discussing books and thoughts on life in general. I hope you do too.

December Choice

Since I've let things get away from me the last few months, I haven't been as on top of whose picking the next book as I should. Because of that I had to pick a book last minute the day before book club. I decided to pick a book I've always wanted to read and haven't made the time for:

Believing Christ
by Stephen E. Robinson

I hope you'll join me in reading this, and be ready to discuss January 11.

Just as an FYI our meeting night will change to the first tuesday of the month starting in February.

Our new book has been chosen:

by Lois Lowry

Clair Gee has some copies that Heather was able to borrow from her school if you want to get one. She will bring them to church or you can contact her. Monette mentioned that another book group has put them on hold at the library, just fyi. We will meet on December 14th at Clair Gee's home. Mark your calandars!

October Book

Our newest book has been picked!

The Good Earth

by: Pearl S. Buck

We will be meeting October 12, 7:30 pm at Billie Turner's house (right Billie?)

I really really enjoy these evenings and I hope you do too.

We had a fabulous time at book club this week. If you missed it, we missed you. We had a few people there who hadn't read the book and were just there for socializing and that was just great!

Our next book is: The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley

We will be meeting on August 10th, 7:30 pm at Alena's home out near the E Center. She will email me directions and I'll make sure they get out before the next meeting. We could meet up at the church and carpool if that is easier for some people.

I'll be looking forward to our next meeting. I LOVE book group!

July Book

Monnette has chosen our new book. We will be reading:

A Girl of the Limberlost
by Gene Stratton-Porter
